It is an analysis of an injured person’s functional capabilities in the areas one would generally be expected to perform in order to maintain an independent life. A General Practitioner or Psychiatrist is able to provide opinion in this area.

This type of driving evaluation typically includes two parts: one part in an office or clinic and the second part behind the wheel of a car. The purpose of the evaluation in the office or clinic is to examine the physical, visual and mental abilities required for safe driving.

A Future Care Costs Assessment is a long term needs analysis usually undertaken by an occupational therapist. The goal of the assessment is to predict an individual’s long term needs following injury or illness and provide information about the costs associated with meeting those needs. The assessment compares the client’s previous level of functioning and care requirements with their current and future needs. It takes into account assistance and support required to undertake activities of daily living, including self-care, domestic, work and leisure activities. It also considers long term prognosis and the likely progression of the illness or injury and determines services required to optimise independence and functioning.
An occupational health assessment is a medical assessment of an employee by an occupational health professional. It assesses an employee’s physical and mental health, and provides the employer with recommendations on what they can do to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for that employee. Its primary purpose is to prevent work-related injuries.
Traffic engineering reports use engineering techniques to determine the safe and efficient movement of people and goods on roadways. They focus mainly on safe and efficient traffic flow, such as road geometry, sidewalks and crosswalks, cycling infrastructure, traffic signs, road surface markings and traffic lights.

A Worksite Assessment is an analysis of an injured worker’s workplace to help identify potential alternative duties at the worksite. It is required when there is a need to identify what duties are appropriate for an injured worker in the case of them being unable to return to their normal employment either temporarily or for the foreseeable future. This is normally completed in conjunction with a treating medical practitioner and rehabilitation specialist.
