Dr Andrew Porteous is a Consultant Specialist Occupational Physician experienced in all aspects of occupational injury/illness and musculoskeletal medicine. He is skilled in providing a range of fitness for work assessments, return to work programmes and injury management strategies.

Dr Porteous also specialises in rehabilitation reviews, worksite hazard and risk consideration, and preparation of permanent impairment assessments and reports. Further, he is qualified in Travel and Tropical Medicine, Health Impact Assessments, Sports Medicine and Pharmacy.

Previously, Dr Porteous trained and worked in New Zealand and the UK. In Australia he has worked for Rio Tinto and was Chief Medical Officer at Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon. Currently in private practice, Dr Porteous also serves as Chief Medical Advisor for Roy Hill Iron Ore. Dr Porteous holds several accreditations in provision of Permanent Impairment Assessment across multiple states in Australia. Additionally, he is accredited as a Certified Independent Medical Examiner, ABIME. Dr Porteous maintains Continuing Professional Development and attends conferences and meetings, nationally and overseas.
